What does your role involve?
As a Flight Test Engineer at Orange Operations, the test organization of Orange Aerospace, you are a key player in our test campaigns. You assemble and disassemble aircraft, control- and measurement systems according to established procedures, operate test equipment before, during, and after flights, and assist in troubleshooting technical challenges. You will primarily work on fixed-wing UAVs in the specific category. Your involvement begins during production and system integration, ensuring that you thoroughly understand the systems.
Responsibilities:
- Contributing to production and system integration in preparation for test flights
- Preparing and extensively testing prototype aircraft
- Assembling and disassembling test- and measurement systems during test campaigns
- Operating and monitoring test equipment during test campaigns
- Investigating and solving technical challenges
What are we looking for in a Flight Test Engineer?
- Completed MBO-4 or HBO degree in aviation technology or a related field
- Hands-on experience in the drone sector or RC modeling is a strong advantage
- Technical insight, hands-on mentality, and a pragmatic approach
- Solution-oriented and flexible – you enjoy variety and don’t mind long test days
- Passion for aviation and a strong sense of responsibility in a dynamic work environment
